An update is coming!
The Alignment Paradox has been rated by 28 people so far, and the comments have been mostly very positive, which makes me extremely happy. Thanks to everyone who has played, rated, and commented!
In addition to the positive comments, I’ve received some very useful feedback on areas for improvement, and I’m currently working on an update, which I’ll release after voting has ended, to address some of this feedback. This will include:
- Finishing some artwork I didn’t have time for during the jam.
- Improving some early artwork that is messy or otherwise not up to scratch.
- Improving some animations, and adding some additional ones.
- Tweaking the audio mix to address some volume issues with the dialogue.
- Adding some additional sound effects.
- Fixing a few minor bugs I discovered watching people play the game.
- Adding some extra content to soften the abrupt ending.
Both of the game’s voice actors - Rich Keeble and Naomi Miller - have agreed to record a few more lines of dialogue to expand on the game’s final scene, and provide a bit of a smoother ending. I had to rush the ending to finish the game in time, so it will be nice to make that a bit less abrupt.
I hope to have the update ready to release right after voting ends on July 11th, so keep an eye out for it and I hope you’ll give it a try and let me know what you think.
