I’m still in disbelief that The Alignment Paradox finished 3rd overall in Adventure Jam 2023. There were over 300 entries and some really excellent games, so to come 3rd feels like an amazing achievement, especially as this is only the third game I’ve ever made. Thanks so much to everyone who has played, commented, and rated the game. It is hugely appreciated.

This update brings a ton of improvements based on feedback from people who played the adventure jam version, including:

New:

• Nearly 30 new lines of dialogue from voice actors Rich Keeble and Naomi Miller.
• An updated ending with additional content and backstory.
• Many new and updated animations.
• Many updates to artwork. Improved readability of written text.
• Additional sound effects and music.
• Separate volume controls for music, dialogue, and SFX.
• Cut some dialogue that wasn’t helping the story.

Fixes/tweaks:

• Audio fix. Dialogue is normalized and no longer drowned out by music.
• Background no longer gets cut off on different aspect ratios.
• Long hover text no longer goes off screen edges.
• Hover text on objects is now a different colour from the character dialogue text.
• Many many logic fixes.
